The Wooster Program is an art mentorship, curatorial, critique program enabling artists from across the United States and the world to join in from their studios and connect with art professionals, their studios around the world and in the setting of New York City.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN TEACHING WITH US?
The program seeks to host artistic mentorships through virtual meetings, or submission of materials for professional critiques, portfolio reviews, advise on writing artist statements and biographies.
The program offers participants a space to learn taking special consideration regarding different disciplines while holding formal considerations regarding pictorial design, color, geometry, synthesis, and the integration of drawing, and painting techniques while holding space for the intimate relationship with the chosen mediums, the human figure, or abstraction. The program’s critiques will focus on a rigorous academic based color theory and use of pictorial structure. The critiques will offer freedom to rethink, observe, relate, while focusing in the intention of the artist’s work, as well as into the analytical perspective of an audience.
Embracing all art disciplines, it encourages all art forms and actions including ideas surrounding public space. a diverse vision challenging the social spaces that we inhabit.
Who is this program geared to? →art students, recent graduates, art students preparing to apply to college or to graduate school. All levels from around the world are welcomed.

When taking part of the one year program or the Artist Residency, you will also have the opportunity to exhibit your work in New York City.
